• Charles Dickens was the author of Oliver Twist and A Christmas Carol. He published fifteen novels, as well as writing hundreds of short stories and non-fiction pieces.
• He came from a poor family, but he was lucky enough to attend school.
• Dickens was interested in the paranormal and was a member of The Ghost Club.
• Charles Dickens has appeared on the British £10 note.
